  3. Language Development (Listening, speaking, reading, and writing readiness.)
  4. Mathematics and Sciences. (Matching, copying, sorting, classifying, sequencing, technology and engineering concepts, etc.)
  5. Social and Emotional Development (Conflict resolution, pro-social behavior, positive peer interactions)
  6. Physical Development. (Large and small motor development)

YWCA York supports families in York County through our SAC (School Age Care) program which provides before-school and/or after-school care for your children in Kindergarten through 6th grade, as well as, a full-day program for school-age students when school is out of session.

Children need structured, educational programs that promote positive development and learning. A family gains peace of mind when children are in secure and safe before and after school programs. YWCA York partners with families, schools and our program staff to bring the highest quality programming to the children we serve.

At our SAC sites, we strive to create an environment where students can get what they need before-school and/or after school:  fun and active outdoor play, creative arts, child-directed projects, support with homework, opportunities to practice emerging pro-social and leadership skills, and a safe place to build friendships and solid relationships with adults.
