YWCA York has a long tradition of aquatics that continues to today! The mission of YWCA York’s Aquatics Center is to improve the quality of life for people of all ages through physical fitness and health education. Our programs strengthen bodies and build self-esteem and confidence. YWCA York is a gender-inclusive association and is open to everyone. Facilities include a pool, locker rooms, observation areas and free parking.

YWCA York is a provider for the Healthways “Silver Sneakers” and “Forever Fit” programs and the American Specialty Health “Silver & Fit.” For information or to inquire about eligibility contact us at 717-845-2631.

Make Your Workout Fun

Aquatic exercise is a low-impact activity that takes the pressure off your bones, joints and muscles. Water also offers a natural resistance, which can help strengthen your muscles. You can even do aquatic exercise if you don’t know how to swim!

We offer several group classes as well as family and lap swim times. Many of our members also enjoy that our pool is the warmest in the area. Come take a tour today or take advantage of our one-week free trial membership by calling 717-845-2631.

Generations Have Learned to Swim with Us

Learning to swim is a life skill. From infants to adults, we offer both group, semi-private and private lessons in a safe, supportive environment for all ability levels with numerous approaches to meet everyone’s needs. We focus on each person as a developing individual, teaching them to not only appreciate the water, but to also become safe and develop competitive strokes, which will prepare them for swimming as a sport or for a lifetime of enjoyment.

Competitive Sychronized Swimming for 50 Years

Founded in 1972, our York Synchro Team has competed at the local, regional, and national levels.  We have placed swimmers in the top eight in the Regional Age Group Championships and the Junior Olympics. Many of our swimmers have competed at the collegiate level and have placed nationally. Several swimmers have returned to our team and others across the nation to continue their love and dedication to the sport as coaches and judges.

The synchronized swimming season runs year-round and typically practice is twice a week. Each October the York Synchro Team presents a water show for the community.

If you would like more information, please call 717-845-2631.

We are not currently renting our pool for birthday parties.
