YWCA York is grateful for in-kind donations year round of items our families can use while they’re healing from the trauma of domestic abuse. We also hold an annual Adopt A Family for the Holidays event each November which allows you to give our shelter and child care families a truly special holiday experience.
Unfortunately, due to limited available storage, we cannot accept all donations. Please check our donation wish list* to see our current needs. We appreciate your support and generosity.
*Please note that YWCA York only accepts donations of new items. We encourage you to take gently used clothing and household goods to St. Mary’s Thrift Shop at 26 E. College Avenue (717-812-9999), which provides our clients with vouchers to pick out free items.
If you would like to raise money to support some of our work by hosting a fundraiser, we would love to talk to you. You can use our guidelines to make your event a success. YWCA York can send a representative to your event and/or arrange a photo op when you drop off the proceeds. Or create a Facebook or Go Fund Me fundraiser for virtual giving.
