EQUAL. POWERFUL. UNSTOPPABLE.

YWCA York announces our 2021 Annual Appeal through Dec. 31st!

We recognize these three words embody what we want for our York community and who we are as an organization that currently serves more than 20,000 York County residents in a typical year. Today, I’m asking you to be part of our work to strengthen our mission to build a more Equal, Powerful & Unstoppable YWCA York. Our 2021 Annual Appeal has three different ways for you to give.

EQUAL: Make a donation to our general fund which will go to our greatest needs during another challenging year.

POWERFUL: Empower YWCA York with a donation to fund our future–growing our investments makes us more financially stable and less dependent on varying public funding streams.

UNSTOPPABLE: Help us reach our finish line for our capital projects! We are raising funds for an indoor play space for children in our early learning center. A place to explore new skills and create healthy lifestyles.

We are so fortunate to live in such a generous community.  Can we count on you this year?

Your gift, of any amount, is an investment that strengthens our community.

In-Kind Donations

YWCA York is grateful for in-kind donations year round of items our families can use while they’re healing from the trauma of domestic abuse. We also hold an annual Adopt A Family for the Holidays event each November which allows you to give our shelter and child care families a truly special holiday experience.

Unfortunately, due to limited available storage, we cannot accept all donations. Please check our donation wish list* to see our current needs. We appreciate your support and generosity.

*Please note that YWCA York only accepts donations of new items. We encourage you to take gently used clothing and household goods to St. Mary’s Thrift Shop at 26 E. College Avenue (717-812-9999), which provides our clients with vouchers to pick out free items.
