Knowing Your Role in the Protection of our Children
YWCA York is here to assist you in having that hard conversation about abuse. While it is never an easy topic to discuss, it’s one we need to have to protect our most vulnerable population, our children. As April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, we are offering this state-mandated training for FREE as a webinar for mandated reporters to help you understand your responsibilities per the Pennsylvania Child Protective Services Law (CPSL).
State Certified Trainers will cover topics such as the history and purpose of the CPSL, signs and symptoms of abuse, and how to make a report. This 3-hour training will give you the tools, resources, and strategies you need to gain a better understanding of your role in the protection of children.
We all have the responsibility to protect our children from harm. Child Protective Services Law requires certain professionals to make reports of suspected child abuse and neglect to Childline:
- Teachers and Educators
- Childcare Providers
- Health Care Providers
- Social Service Providers
- Law Enforcement Personal
- Foster Parents
- Spiritual and Religious Leaders
