YWCA York joins forces with 3 local camps to create the ultimate summer challenge
York, PA – (July 17, 2018) On Wednesday, July 18th from 10am-2pm YWCA York will be hosting the first ever Summer Camp Cup in collaboration with York YMCA Branch, Crispus Attucks and United Way of York County at Camp Cann-Edi-On located at 870 Sheepbridge Rd, York Haven, PA.
Approximately 220 campers between the ages of 6 -13 will compete is a variety of games and challenges to see who will ultimately take home the Summer Camp Cup. Challenges will include gaga ball, capture the flag, and trivia.
“This has been a great opportunity for York’s summer camp programs to come together and provide a fun opportunity for our youth,” states Will Foster, YWCA York’s Camp Cann-Edi-On Director. “It has been great to work with the other camp directors to create this exciting and unique experience and we are thrilled to be able to host it here at our beautiful campgrounds.”
The event will conclude with a campfire, singing of camp songs, and presentation of the Summer Camp Cup, but what will be remembered are the laughs, fun and friendships made.
