Jean M. Treuthart, Chief Executive Officer
Jean M. Treuthart brings over 30 years of experience in organizational leadership, revenue building, fund raising and advocacy to the position of CEO. Jean graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in management studies and went on to earn a master’s degree in cultural communications from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She is a frequent community speaker on social and economic justice topics related to the fields of women’s leadership role and education.
From 2003 to 2014, Jean championed access and opportunity to education at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) in the position of Campus Vice President of the York Campus. Under her leadership, the campus was the fastest growing in the college’s history with enrollment reaching just over 3,000 students.
Prior to working at HACC, she was the vice president of academic affairs at the Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts where she worked from 1988 to 2002 and taught marketing and management courses.
Jean is active on several community boards, including: York Hospital, Better York and as vice chair of the York County Economic Alliance (YCEA). She served on the United Way of York County’s campaign cabinet from 2008-2010 and is a member of the Women’s Giving Circle of the York County Community Foundation.
In 2013, she was recognized by the YCEA as the Education/Workforce Advocate of the Year. In 2015, she received the ATHENA International Leadership award for her commitment to mentoring young women. She was a York Federal Fellow in 2015 and traveled to Iceland to study gender equity. She lives in York with her husband, Steve Baker.
Jody Brown, Chief Human Resources Officer
Jody Brown brings 22 years of Human Resource and payroll experience to the role of Chief Human Resource Officer with YWCA York. Her human resource experience has grown through a variety of industries to include healthcare, retail, manufacturing and non-profit organizations. Jody holds a bachelor of science degree from York College of Pennsylvania in therapeutic recreation. She has had the opportunity to guest speak to recreation majors preparing to enter the workforce and assist the students in preparing for their future. She has continued her education to include certification as a Professional in Human Resources through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). Jody chairs the Safety Committee of YWCA York.
Heather (Seton) Keller, Interim Chief Services Officer
Heather (Seton) Keller has a bachelor of arts degree in clinical psychology from Towson University, and has worked in the field of mental health and human services with a focus on domestic and sexual violence for more than 20 years.
More than half of that time she has served as the Legal Advocacy Director for ACCESS York and the Victim Assistance Center, programs of YWCA York. As part of her role, Heather co-chairs the York County Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team, the Law Enforcement/Judicial Subcommittee of the York County Task Force Against Domestic Violence, and has served intermittently on the STOP Coordinating Team, York County Policy Board, and has worked closely with York County Courts as well as the York County District Attorney’s Office to streamline access to services for victims of violent crime in York County.
Ruby Martin, Chief Program Officer
Ruby Martin is the Chief Program Officer at YWCA York, where she is responsible for overseeing the overall operations for the early learning programs, school age care, youth programming and camp, professional development/racial justice, the community development project and health promotional services.
Ruby is a certified trainer and conducts professional development sessions at national, state and local conferences. She has published excerpts in two early childhood textbooks and as a curriculum author through the Library of Congress. Ruby is also adjunct faculty HACC. Prior to joining YWCA York, Ruby served as Vice President of Education for a national child care company, ran several early learning programs, and did extensive work throughout the community.
Ruby holds a master of education degree in early childhood education from Towson University and received her bachelor of science in recreation and leisure administration from York College of Pennsylvania. She serves as a member of the Child Care Consultants Board of Directors, sits on the Membership Committee and Government Relations and Advocacy Committee through Pennsylvania’s Child Care Association (PACCA). Ruby has been the recipient of the White Rose Award (2000), Children’s Champion award (2006) and was recognized as one of the Central Penn’s Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty (2010).
