Olde Towne East is a small neighborhood just east of downtown York that offers residents gorgeous architecture at affordable prices. Residents can walk to all the downtown amenities, including Martin Library, the new baseball stadium, Memorial Park's ice skating rink and downtown theaters and restaurants.

Currently, Olde Towne East is undergoing a renaissance and has been designated by the Commonwealth of PA as an "Elm Street neighborhood". This means that the State is committed to contributing resources to the rebirth of this neighborhood. New sidewalks, street lights and parks are being installed, and homes are being completely restored.

There are financial incentives for homebuyers to choose Olde Towne East, too. The Elm Street downpayment assistance program offers up to 10% of the sales price towards closing costs. Purchase prices range between $45,000 and $150,000 making the monthly payment comparable to renting.
