2012 Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

The 3rd Annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes is scheduled for May 11, 2012. 

ONLINE REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED, but donations to walkers will be open until Noon today (5/11) by CLICKING HERE

If you wish to REGISTER, registration will be available starting at 4PM at the York Revolution Stadium on the plaza outside the box office.

Any additional donations must be brought to the York Revolution Stadium between 4-4:30 on Friday, May 11.

 

If you'd like to attend the game & picnic area tickets will be available at the Walk a Mile T-shirt Table from 4-6 PM (game starts at 6:30PM and the picnic area is open from 6-8PM).

Tickets for the game, with picnic access, are $25. There is no charge to watch just the Walk.

 

YWCA York, in partnership with York Revolution, will host the third annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event on Friday, May 11, 2012.  Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is an international march, aimed at stopping rape, sexual assault and gender violence, where men take part in a mile-long walk in women’s high heels.  All proceeds benefit York County victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and other violent crimes.

Walkers are able to register, collect pledges and create their own fundraising page online. This will make the process fun and easy! Participants are able to track their own pledges in real time and promote their page through social media, text, email, etc. to friends, coworkers and family!
